I am enjoying my new job, I get paid to write database code, give linus torvalds a nuggie every half hour, and learn how to create a pbx using mish mashed code created by a very angry 60 year old Russian who insists the proper spelling of "speaker" is "speeker".
It's very relaxed. A majority of the staff are obvious GWU graudates and they're all pretty hilarious. The worst part is probably the thirty minute to hour drive to get there as its like a mile from GWU and Georgetown but at least the time is spent mostly in neighborhood traffic lights.
Also working behind the guy with a Mac G5 makes me yearn to get a MacBook in the not so distant future.

God I wish I brought a camera but holy shit driving through the Mojave Desert during sunset is fucking

My only regret is that I'm terribly bored in the hotel I'm staying at for the next few days so instead of writing a nice story I'll just write what I'm thinking as I type

Can I be a food critic I know how to point out the worlds most obvious shit: "THIS CRUNCHY FRIED CHICKEN HAS A... VERY... FRIED, CRUNCHY TEXTURE" christ if it isn't obvious i'm watching the food network right now and bobby flay has yet another fucking show playing
Actually I bet the weatherman for any part of Virginia would be a lot better, I'd probably use my skills of observation and predict the weather for today, tomorrow, and next week "it sucks ass and dont go outside"
Also I don't understand why eating at Subway is so god damn difficult - they have tables set up like this
with chairs at the end of the S and the Y in SubWay. But if you use the provided trays you end up with this
seriously what the fuck happens when you want two people to eat across from each other?
subway executive 1: "we have a problem with the tables not having enough space to hold two trays"
subway executive 2: "well we dont like spending lots of money as evident in the quantity of onions we give to customers!"
subway executive 3: "how about we force people to go tray-less"
subway executive 1: "thats crazy! you eat on trays, you stay with in your bounds of your eating space!"
subway executive 2: "well how about we drive this as a character building tactic, you know, 'its ok if the subs touch'"

I hate these commercials that keep talking about micro managing periods - look I might not bleed out of my genitals every month but holy fuck if you want to sell something stop having an army of women dancing in a field to music that would make Walt Disney shit his pants. why do these commercials even talk about side effects to the drug youre using "THIS MIRACLE PERIOD CONTROLLING DRUG MAY HAVE SIDE EFFECTS INCLUDING MOOD SWINGS, BLEEDING, NAUSEA, HEAD ACHES AND STOMACH PAIN" holy shit theyre selling sugar pills for twenty bucks why didn't i think of this
mother of god i don't even know what i just wrote i hope to god something interesting happens this week or else im going slit my wrists in the shape of a face and maybe the loss of blood will get me to think the face is talking

Today sucked, 6 and a half hours of flying from Dulles to Los Angeles, then another 2 hours of driving in a car I don't even want to have anything to do with (Ford Escape). I asked AVIS if they had anything better because
1. I hate large vehicles
2. I hate driving large vehicles
3. I hate paying the gas tank for large vehicles
Thankfully the 2 hour drive from LAX to Mojave (my hotel) is very barren. I basically got out of LAX and pushed the accelerator all the way down.
It's very windy and desert-y here, and I actually enjoyed the stuff that Denny's pooped out because it was the only meal I had today. Also I totally forgot my cellphone charger, so I'm trying to fiddle with this Skype account I've had for the past few months up again so I can call around. (you can call me if you have nothing better to do)
I'm also feeling nauseous, either I'm really tired or I'm still feeling like I'm perpetually in an airplane landing, and it's making me feel really sick. It's also the same feeling you get from being in an elevator that stops suddenly over and over.

Ok if you didn't know by now I have a job that flies me around military bases on the weekdays and makes me fix/deploy computers. My assignment this week is probably Fort Totten in New York - but the thing is the hotel I'm staying at is in or pretty near Chinatown. I hate driving in DC, so driving in New York with half a million Chinese people running into the streets is no exception.
Also Kp is getting royally fucked by the airline and hotel industry and if he could read this now I wish him major goondolences
